Henry C. Geren

Geren, Henry C. Age 96, a resident of Albuquerque since 1970, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014. He was born in Continental, OH on February 22, 1917, to Philip and Viola Geren. Henry retired from the Air Force after 26 years of service. He loved hiking, fishing, reading and playing with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elnora Geren; parents, Philip S. Geren, Viola Geren. Henry is survived by his two children, Judith Geren-Edwards, Henry C. Geren II; three grandchildren, Lora (Kevin) Ward, Henry "Duke" (Courtney) Geren III, Kristopher P. (Kelli) Geren; five great grandchildren, Marc (Tamara) Ward, Eric Ward, Coler Geren, Grayson Geren, Declynn Geren; two great-great grandchildren, Michael Ward and Hayden Ward. Visitation will be held Monday January 13, 2014, from 9:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 10000 Spain NE, with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment to be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Henry's honor to the Alzhiemers or Veterans organizations if desired.
