Henry Murray Huffman

March 6, 1919 — February 7, 2011

Henry Murray Huffman, Sr. (Tubby) went to be with Jesus on Monday, February 7th in Waterflow, NM, at the age of 91. He peacefully passed away at home after being in poor health for an extended time. He and his wife moved from Texas to New Mexico in 1996 to be near their daughter and son-in-law. He was a beloved father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed. He was born in Euless on March 6, 1919, to Steve and Annie Huffman. He proudly served his country during WWII as a B-17 co-pilot. He married and lovingly took care of his wife, Bettye Sue Akin for 61 years until her death in 2001. After the war, Tubby built a house in Euless and served on the city council, school board, and as an elder at Arlington Bible Church. He built several houses in Euless, then went into underground utility installation. He is survived by Paula Huffman of Bedford, TX " widow of deceased son, Murray Huffman; Gary Huffman and wife Sherry of Lewisville; Debbie Vasser and husband Don of Waterflow, 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild; a sister, Florine Lees of Arlington and many nieces and nephews.
