Hester "Bit" Mitchell, 86, went on home to glory on January 21, 2020. Our beloved Hester, born an identical twin on November 11, 1933 to the late Ike and Addie Wilson in Rockford, Alabama.
Hester married Charles in 1954, and traveled the world as an Army wife, before settling in Albuquerque in the late 1960's. During their union, she mothered four children: Berlinda Faye, Kathy, Charlotte, and Charles Jr.
Hester gave her life to the Lord at an early age, and was an active member and church "Mother" at God's House Church until her illness.
Hester, a great woman of WISDOM, was resilient even until her passing. ALWAYS trusting God no matter what circumstance may arise. Her most famous quote "the very thing you're worried about, the Lord has already worked it out!" And she stood on the verse, "I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me." She always attempted to instill those same valued words in her children and grandchildren.
Hester, exhibited her love for her family and friends through the mastered art of cooking, and was most known for her delicious homemade "sour cream pound cakes." She is, and will be greatly missed.
Hester is predeceased by her daughter Kathy; both Mother and Father; three brothers, and two sisters. Hester leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Charles of 64 years. Children, Berlinda Faye, Charlotte, and Charles Jr. Sisters, Lee Ester, Vester (Twin), and Lois. Brother's, Dennis, Norman and Herman. Also a special thanks to Momma's daily care team/medical team:; granddaughter, Nikki, who journeyed the course; Gladys who filled in the gap, and nurse Karen with Presbyterian Hospice.
