Hope H. Velasquez

Velasquez, Hope H. Age 57, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, was embraced by the Lord and taken to her heavenly home, Wednesday, December 19, 2012. She was born in Carrizozo, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dolores and Seniada Marquez; brother, Gilbert Marquez; and a sister, Ida Ganger. Hope is survived by loving husband of 32 years, Joe G. Velasquez; her children, Joe Velasquez, Jr. and Melissa Marquez; her precious grandchildren, Isaac, Danny, Alexandra, Jazmine and Abriella. Also surviving are her sisters, Carmen Blanco and husband Deacon Israel, Mariana Marks and husband Leonard, Bernice Marquez; her brothers, Ramon Marquez and wife Viola, Carlos Marquez and wife Pam, Melcor Marquez and wife Suzie, Robert Marquez; sister-in-law, Mary Sanchez; other numerous relatives and friends. Hope will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose hearts she touched. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from @:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth Street NW, then again from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth St., NW, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final viewing will be Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St., NW. Service of Christian Burial will be Thursday,at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church.
