Hortencia Acosta

Acosta, Hortencia 53, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. On the wings of a butterfly, she went to meet her Lord and Savior in Heaven. She was born in Juan Mendoza, Chihuahua, Mexico on April 20, 1960 to Ezequiel and Josefa (Gonzalez) Acosta. Hortencia was a resident of Socorro since 1995. She enjoyed dancing and singing. She had a very giving spirit about her and was outgoing and friendly. Everyone she ever met, became her friend. She was always joking with her family and friends. Hortencia loved and adored her family and she will always be remembered for her smile, her laughter and her beautiful heart. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Josephina Portillo; and her beloved son, Jesus A. Burrola. Hortencia is survived by her devoted children, Dora Greenwood and husband, Kenneth; Noe Burrola; and Myriam Moya and husband, Christopher; eight loving grandchildren; her brothers, Cipriano Acosta and wife, Herlinda; Ezequiel Acosta Jr. and wife, Carmen; Matilde Acosta, and wife, Patsy; Victor Acosta and wife, Maria; Jesus Acosta and wife, Darlene; and Oscar Acosta and wife, Dianna; her sisters, Alicia Garcia and husband, Salvador; Manuela Castro and husband, Juan; Berta Molina and husband, Leonel; and Blanca Acosta and husband, Martin Perez. Hortencia will also be greatly missed by other loving family members and many friends. A Holy Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 10:00 am at the San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real, Socorro followed by a Mass of Resurrection which will be celebrated at 10:30 am with Father Flavio Santillanes as Celebrant. Inurnment will take place in the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cipriano Acosta, Ezequiel Acosta Jr., Matilde Acosta,Victor Acosta, Jesus Acosta, and Oscar Acosta.
