Howard William Arris passed away December 1, 2015 at the age of 61. Howard retired from Sandia National Laboratory with 40 years of exemplary service as a material/process engineer. He approached his personal life like his work. He was a great "chef", using many homegrown vegetables. He was a motorcyclist, hot air balloon crew chief and avid camper/hiker/fisherman. He led a full and fun life that was cut short sue to what was finally diagnosed as Multiple System Atrophy. Howard will be missed by former coworkers, friends and family.
He was proceeded in death by his mother Clovie Arris Locke, father William W. Arris, and his older brother Thomas M. Arris.
He is survived by his longtime companion Kathy Tullock, his sister Sheryl Arris and nephews Fredrick Shane Absher and Sean W. Absher.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside Memorial Service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd, NE, Albuquerque, on December 19th at 10:00 am. A reception will follow to celebrate Howard's life
