Howard James Jennings

Jennings, Howard James Age 79, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012. He was born in Middle Village, NY on October 20, 1932 to Lincoln and Helen (Goldbach) Jennings. In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his brothers Charlie and Walter.
Howard is survived by wife of 44 years, Patricia A. Jennings of Rio Rancho, NM; daughter, Pat Stramezzi and husband Jim of Lindenhurst, NY; son, Tim Brady of Rio Rancho, NM; six grandchildren-Nicholas and Danielle Brady, and their mother Deborah Brady, Jeanne Lee and husband Vinny, Jimmy Stramezzi and wife Chrissy, and Julianne and Jessica Stramezzi; nine great grandchildren-Brayden, Caden, Jack, Kyra, Michael, Sydney, Benjamin, Olivia, Chase and one brother, William. Howard was a resident of Rio Rancho for 12 years. Howard was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict. After serving his country overseas, Howard became a police officer. He later retired from the Floral Park (NY) Police Department. Howard was gifted as a handyman. He was able to visualize a project, then put it down on paper and build it. Throughout his life, he used his skills to help many people including his family. Howard was affectionately know as Grandpa, Poppy and Dad by his family. He was adored and respected by his family and he will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2012, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services - 2400 Southern Blvd SE in Rio Rancho. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Howard's care has been entrusted to:
