Lovelady, Hugh Wayne Died peacefully at his home after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease on October 25, 2013. He was born on January 22, 1926 in Texola, Oklahoma to Clayton Rex and Smiley Bell Lovelady. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Ruth; son Douglas Lovelady; daughter Deann Lovelady and grandson Justin Lovelady. He is survived by Jo Durkin Lovelady; brother Rex lovelady; son David Lovelady; and daughters Karen Lovelady and Laurie Garnett. He is also survived by grandchildren David Lovelady, Jr.; Braxton Lovelady; Alexis Lovelady Molina-Fanto; Jessica Bridwell; Ryan Birdwell; Sage Garnett; Morgan Garnett; Jeremy Sneed; Tyler Sneed and ten great-grandchildren. Wayne and his family moved to Albuquerque in 1956. They were accompanied by Ruth's aunt and her husband, Virgina and Lloyd McKee. Together they began their career in the automobile business. Wayne's involvement in the industry spanned more than forty years. During that time he developed a very successful career and received numerous awards. He also expanded his interests into several other dealerships in other cities. His hobbies included, tennis, golf, reading, traveling and playing cards; but his true passion was riding and competing in cutting horse events. For many years he would travel to and compete in cutting horse events around the country. In the last couple of years of Wayne's life he was taken care of by his very special caregiver, Barbra Hernandez. The family is deeply grateful to her and the love she showed him. Wayne was known for his generosity, kindness, compassion and philanthropic spirit. He will be missed by all. Services will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Daniels Family Funeral Home at 11AM.
