Hugh Young

Young, Hugh McCullen Age 92, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014. He was born in Chicago, IL on March 11, 1922. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Georgina Young; daughter, Cheryl Richman; grandson, Michael Young. Hugh is survived by his children, Ronald Young and wife Cheryl of Albuquerque, NM, Richard Young and wife Jane of Hinsdale, IL, Georgene Jander and husband Alan of Rio Rancho, NM; son-in-law, Thomas Richman of Rio Rancho, NM; grandchildren, Sandra Blacet of Shingle Springs, CA, Amy Young of Albuquerque, NM, Richard Young of NJ, Lisa Young of Elmhurst, IL, Jennifer Standridge of Condon, OR, Jason Richman of Long Beach, CA, David Young of Hinsdale, IL, Christopher Jander of Parker, CO, and Lynn Jander of Rio Rancho, NM; great-grandchildren, Michael Ryan Young, Kristi Lovato, Michael Lovato, Cassandra Blacet, Megan Blacet, and William Blacet. Hugh served in the Army Signal Corps during WWII in the Phillipines and New Guinea. He was a President and Business Manager of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1859 for the Western Electric Hawthorne Works in Cicero, IL. A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm, Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, Friday, June 13, 2014, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
