Ida E. Montano

Montano, Ida E. Loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the age 57. She was born in Albuquerque, NM to Carmel and Tillie Garcia. Ida was a dedicated homemaker who loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carmel T. Garcia and Tillie, brothers, Melquiares and Gilbert Garcia. Ida is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Hilario P. Montano; daughter, Evelyn Medina and husband Joey; sons, David Thompson, and Roberto Mendez Jr. and wife Alexandria; grandchildren, Stacie Thompson, Britney Medina, David Thompson II, Tyler Thompson, Joey Medina III, Angel Pina, Isiah Mendez, Roberto H. Mendez, Roselyn Mendez, Stefany Pina, Jesus Pina, Ramon Mendez and Miguel Angel Ramirez; great-grandchildren, Skyler Thompson and Nathaniel Medina; brothers, Mel Garcia and wife Nelda, Carmel Garcia and wife Amelia and Steve Garcia; sisters, Virginia Gutierrez and husband Julian, Martha Montano and husband Demetrio; her very best friend, Margaret Padilla and numerous other friends and family. Ida will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Visitation will take place at Garcia Mortuary in the Chapel of Angels on Friday, December 30, 2011, from 3:30 pm-4:30 pm followed by a reciting of the Rosary at 4:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at 10:00 am at San Jose de los Duranes Catholic Church, 2110 Los Luceros Rd NW. Celebrant Father Tom Noesen. Interment will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery following Mass. Pallbearers are David Thompson Sr., David Thompson II, Roberto Mendez Jr., Tyler
