Ida M. Valdez

VALDEZ- Ida M. Valdez, 78, loving, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Friday, January 14, 2011. Ida was born March 23, 1932 in Domingo, NM. Ida enjoyed spending time with her family and was very active within her church, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Ida is survived by her loving children Nick Valdez, and Dolores Nunez and husband Ed all of Albuquerque, NM; one grandchild Nicholas Nunez; nieces Joan Yedin and Elaine Navarrette; nephews Lawrence Sanchez and Tony Gutierrez and numerous other friends and family. Ida was preceded in death by her beloved husband Louis R. Valdez of 37 years, two sisters, Viola Sanchez and Julia Gutierrez. Ida will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A Visitation will take place in the Chapel of Angels of Garcia Mortuary, Monday January 17, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. followed by a reciting of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m.; Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave NW.; Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 9:00 a.m.; with Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
