Ira McKinley Herrera

Age 67, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017. He was born in Alamo, NM on August 18, 1950, to Juan and Beatrice  Apachito.  Ira was an accomplished Silversmith and was blessed with many talents.  He was blessed with a loving family and in turn he loved his family and friends beyond measure.  

He was preceded in death by his sister, Ada Guerro, sister, Virginia Vicente, sister, Minnie Vicente, brother, Rody Herrera, brother, JC Herrera, son, Ernest Herrera.

Ira is survived by wife, Bertha Ann Herrera, mother, Beatrice Apachito, father, Juan Herrera, sister, Mami Adakai, sister, Joann Pino, brother, Augusto Apachito, sister, Daisey Martinez, sister, Cookie Apachito, brother, Bill Herrera, Joseph Thomas, daughter, Janet Thomas, daughter, Sharon Perez, son, Juan Herrera, daughter, Alyssia Herrera, daughter, Phylicia Herrera. 

Services will be held on December 16, 2017 at the Alamo Baptist Church, in Alamo, New Mexico.  Interment to follow at the Word of God Cemetery.  

Pallbearers will be Joseph Thomas, Irvan Smith, Jo-El Pino, Brian Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Brandon Herrera, Miguel Perez, Genaro Perez, Olsen Monte Sr..
