Mrs. Isabelle Miranda passed away peacefully at her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on March 25th, 2023, at the age of 92 years old.
Isabelle is survived by her son Phil Miranda and daughter in law Sabina Basham-Miranda of Los Ranchos, New Mexico, by her daughter Sara and son in law Al Sanchez of Albuquerque, NM, and by her daughter Tena and son in law Jimmy Chavez of Albuquerque, NM. Isabelle is also survived by her eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Isabelle is preceded in death by her loving and dedicated husband Jess Miranda, by her parents, Joe, and Sarah Moya, by her sisters, Trena Lemos, and Angie Tipton, by her brothers, Jess Moya, Charles Moya, Joe Moya, and Robert Moya.
Isabelle was born on Thursday, March 12, 1931, in Coffeyville, Kansas, to Sarah (Ruiz) and Joe Moya. Isabelle attended and graduated from Field Kinley Memorial High School, Coffeyville, KS, with her Diploma in 1949. Afterwards Isabelle attended Coffeyville Community College and graduated with an Associate’s Degree. Isabelle married Mr. Jess Miranda in Coffeyville, KS, on Saturday, February 14th, 1953. They were married for 64 years and had three children.
Isabelle worked with Albuquerque Public Schools for 22 years and worked there as an Executive Administrative Assistant. After retiring, Isabelle cared for her eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. These years brought her much happiness and she created wonderful memories for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Isabelle was an active member of St. Jude Catholic Church, having served as a Eucharistic Minister there.
Isabelle was an excellent cook and enjoyed hosting family get togethers. She will be remembered for her impeccable style, her beautiful smile, her infectious laugh and always being the life of the party. Isabelle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she dedicated her life to her family and will always be in our hearts.

Isabelle faced the challenges of Alzheimer’s Disease for 10 years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers that watched over her and the caring team of Hospice De La Luz.
Services will take place on Monday, April 24th, 2023, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church., located at 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87114. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 9:30AM, Mass will follow at 10:15AM. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery, located at 501 N. Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, NM, 87501, beginning at 1:30PM.
