Isaiah M. Salazar
With profound sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Isaiah M. Salazar, age 31, on Saturday, June 12, 2021 in Albuquerque, NM.
Isaiah was born on April 2,1990 in Las Vegas, NM and was raised in Mora, NM. As a teenager, he moved with his parents and sister to Albuquerque, graduating from West Mesa HS in 2008. He worked at the Walmart Distribution Center in Los Lunas, NM.
Isaiah was a very good daddy, hard worker, and fun-loving person who will be missed by so many people. An avid Dallas Cowboys fan, he had a unique sense of humor and was always willing to help those in need. His untimely passing will leave a huge void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandfathers Antonio S. Romero and Jose Nerio Martinez, aunts Tonie Trujillo and Josephine Martinez, and uncle Ben Bustos. He was also preceded in death by paternal grandmother Maria Veneranda Salazar.
Isaiah is survived by his sons Jacob and Jayden, his parents Marc and Angela Salazar, sister Maria Angelica Salazar of Albuquerque; brother Marc Jr., special niece Celene, nephew Zavier and niece Jazzlyn of Santa Fe.
Isaiah is also survived by maternal grandmother Rosa Martinez of El Aguila, aunts Marcy Bustos of Cleveland, Mary Helen Casados (Frank) of Pecos, Julie Martinez of El Aguila, and uncle Fidel Trujillo of LeDoux. Also surviving Isaiah are paternal grandparents Tony and Yolanda Salazar of Santa Fe, aunt Rose Salinas (Roger) of Villanueva and numerous cousins and friends.
A Rosary will be prayed by the Hermanos Cruzados on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 10 am at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque NM 87714. Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 10:45 am with Isaiah’s great uncle, Fr. George Salazar, as celebrant. Burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date with the following serving as pallbearers: Guillermo Monge, Richard Bustos, Charles Martinez, Tomas Martinez, Steven Salinas, and Benny Salinas.
Arrangements are entrusted to and under the care of Daniels Funeral Home - Sara Road.
