Jacqueline Mae Fendley was born on June 13th, 1930 in Fort Worth, Texas. She passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the age of 89. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents James and Audra Burks. Jackie is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Walter J. Fendley, sons; Ronald and wife Laura Fendley of Dallas, Texas, Sid Fendley and wife Janet Norden of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandson Ron Fendley and wife Teresa of Omaha, Nebraska, granddaughters: Melissa Fendley of Dallas, Texas, and Alisa Fendley of Brooklyn, New York, great-grandchildren: Devyn Fendley, Marcus Fendley, and Kirsten Fendley, and great-great grandchildren; Cody Fendley, and Sophia Fendley.
Jackie was beloved by many and was known as a lovely, gentle, but strong and intelligent woman who loved her family and friends. With a great engaging laugh, she enjoyed reading hundreds of books that she would share with others. She loved music, travel, crosswords, and sudoku, and was known to be a master seamstress creating costumes and special outfits for her grandchildren.
As a homemaker first to her family, she was also the bookkeeper for Walt's business. They married August 28, 1948 in Dallas, Texas. There are countless tender memories of Jackie that will continue to live in us even though she is gone from earth.
