JACKSON -Jackie Lee, 74, died peacefully in her sleep after an extended illness and returned to the Lord on Tuesday, July 14, 2009. She was born in Trinidad, CO. She moved with her family to Albuquerque in 1937, where she spent the remainder of her life. In 1954, she married William L. Jackson, former Sandia Peak Tramway Manager and Chief of Bernalillo County District 5 Fire Dept, who preceded her in death in 1999. Jackie's colorful work history throughout her life included: utility and home construction, fire patrol with the U.S. Forest Service and 20 years with the Sandia Peak Ski and Tram Company. Her fondest work was as manager of the Sandia Peak Ski Area "Ski Barn", which was the ski rental shop located at the base of the Tram. She is preceded in death by her husband, William L. Jackson Jr.; sister, Patricia Whittington; sister-in-law, Ann Evans; and her parents, Carl and Adeline Macaluso. She is survived by her children, William L Jackson III and wife, Helen; Guy Jackson and wife, Jina; and Ninette Jackson. She is also survived by her sister, Nina Adkins and her husband, William Adkins; and her brother, Carl Macaluso; and brother-in-law, Al Evans. Grandchildren include Coleman Johnson, SPC Trak Jackson, Casey McFarland, Asti Jackson, Leah Jackson, and Megan Jackson. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. The family of Jackie Jackson would like to thank Presbyterian Hospice and Dr. Russell Schultz for their loving care throughout her sickness. Many thanks are also expressed to the many friends who have given such wonderful love and support throughout the years of her illness.
