Jacqueline L. Pero

Pero, Jacqueline L. Age 81, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, September 14, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 9, 1932 to William J. and Margarite Armandine (Perras), LaBreche, Sr. in Stafford Springs, CT. She was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Harold James Pero; brothers, William Jr. LaBreche, Roland LaBreche, Lionel LaBreche; sister, Rita (LaBreche) Sonski. Jacqueline is survived by her children, Therese Smith and husband Eugene, Martin Pero, James Pero and wife Erin (Molly), Brenda Pero, Maureen Pero; sister, Jeanine (LaBreche) Brissard; brother, Laurier LaBreche; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jacqueline (Jacque) was a nurse's aide for the State of Connecticut, retiring in 1986. She was an avid bowler in her early adult life and was involved for many years in the activities of the Drum and Bugle Corp. She was a lifetime member, a volunteer bartender and past President for the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 5890 in Rio Rancho, NM. Jacque was the proud winner of the largest penny slot jackpot in New Mexico history. She was a parish member, Eucharist Minister and volunteer office aide for St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. The Mass will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Inurnment to follow at 2:15 pm, at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 North Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, NM.
