Jacqueline J. Peterson

July 18, 1947 — August 29, 2019

Jacqueline (Jaci) Joy Peterson was born to Joan Marie (Christenson) and Dale Sherwin Peterson on 18 July 1947 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  She passed away among family on 29 August 2019 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at 72 years young.

Jaci graduated from Sibley High School in 1965 continuing her education and graduating from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1968.  She went on to serve as a Flight Nurse in the United States Air Force, from 1973-1979, leaving the service as a Captain and earning the Air Force Commendation Medal while assigned at Malcolm Grow Medical Center, Andrews AFB, Maryland.

Prior to her retirement, Jaci worked as a Legal Secretary at Yost & Baill Attorney at Law.  Jaci was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Cheryl Jo Kari; nephew, Brett E. Angus; and other family members.  She is survived by her nieces and cousins and will be remembered forever as NaNa Jaci.

Jaci enjoyed traveling (having been to Haiti, Italy, Egypt and Iceland), trying new things and meeting new people.  Always one to find the right answer to any question, she was also open hearted and minded constantly living by co-existing and being a good human.

In lieu of a memorial, the family requests those who wish to honor Jaci's memory have a beverage, or decadent desert, and share good memories among your families.  Should you wish to make a donation in her name, the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.  To view information or leave a condolence please visit www.danielsfuneral.com.
