Jaime Vega Flores

Jaime Vega Flores, age 53, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020 in Rio Rancho, NM. He was born in Saucillo, Chihuahua on August 11, 1966, to Julieta Flores Guerro and Tiburcio Vega. Jaime worked as a horse trainer for 20 years and also was a chef, specializing in pastry, for 10 years.  He loved antiquing and shopping for antiques and anything with horses.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ramon Edgar Vega Flores; cousin, Minerva Reyes Flores; aunts, Olga Flores Guerrero and Bertha Flores Guerrero.  Jaime is survived by the love of his life and wife of 33 years, Maria De Lourdes Trinidad Vega of Albuquerque, NM; daughters: Marcella Vega of Albuquerque, NM, Julieta Vega of Albuquerque, NM, Jacqueline (Travis) Marien of Rio Rancho, NM, and Melinda Vega of Albuquerque, NM; son, Jaime Vega, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; his mother, Julieta Flores Guerrero of Santa Fe, NM; sisters: Angelica (Jesus Chavez) Vega Flores of Saucillo, Chihuahua, Jacqueline (Elfago Paulino Vargas) Vega Flores of Santa Fe, NM, Mireya (Reydezel Zapata) Vega Flores of Rio Rancho, NM, and Imelda Vega Flores of Santa Fe, NM; nieces: Brenda (Joaquin) Rios and their children Jesus, Denisse and Joaquin of Santa Fe, NM, Kenya Chavez Vega and her children Karla, Angelica and Carlos of Saucillo, Chihuahua, Leslie Vega of San Antonio, TX, Evelyn Becerra of Rio Rancho, NM and Paola Vega of Rio Rancho, NM; nephews: Aaron (Reyna) Chavez Vega and their children Crystal, Aaron, Diego and Dayalette of Santa Fe, NM, Eddy"cachito" (Jessy) Chavez Vega and their son Mateo of Saucillo, Chihuahua, Carlos Vega of Saucillo, Chihuahua, Omar and Brian Vega of Santa Fe, NM, and Cesar (Tanya) Becerra and their children Susani, Damian, Yahir and Jaylani of El Paso, TX; grandchildren, Alice Rose Marie, Michael Edward, Rico James, Elijah Jacob, Noah Joshua, Isaiah Jeremiah, Adam Josiah, Jacqueline Melody Beth, Derek Joseph and Fay Rose; and beloved pets Allie, Luna, Charlie, Ruby and Shakira.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 9:00 AM at New Beginnings Church of God, 3601 Montgomery Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.  Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens at 9500 San Pedro Dr NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113. A Reception will take place at 12:00 PM at New Beginnings Church of God.
