James R. Ballard

Ballard, James Age 71, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM for 20 years, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014. He was born in Ventress, LA on July 16, 1943 to John and Blanche (LeJeune) Ballard, Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Code Ballard, Jr. James is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judith Ballard of Rio Rancho, NM; children, Devon Ballard and wife Christie of Little Rock, AR, Tobin Ballard and wife Debbie of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren, Kirsten Ballard of Galveston, TX, Ally Ballard, Gavin Ballard both of Little Rock, AR; siblings, Laura Mae Olinde of New Roads, LA, John G. Ballard of Greenwell Springs, LA, Gloria Broussard of Labadieville, LA, Pat Collier of Greenwell Springs, LA. James was very involved in his church at High Desert Methodist Church and volunteered for food pantries. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam war serving in the U.S. Navy. James loved his family and especially his grandchildren and will be greatly missed by many people. Private family services have been planned.
