James (Jay) VanBlarcom, III

VanBlarcom, James, (Jay) III Age 61, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013. He was born in Patterson, NJ on June 5, 1952, to James and Gloria (Taliafeiro) VanBlarcom. He was preceded in death by his father, James VanBlarcom, Jr; first wife, Pamela Ann VanBlarcom. James is survived by his wife, Janice VanBlarcom; mother, Gloria VanBlarcom; children, Trisha Culross and husband George, Jamie Alford; step-children, Heather Lucero, Melissa Ramirez, and JD McDaniel; grandchildren, Julie Culross, George Culross, Velia Culross, Oscar Culross, Lealy Culross, Trevor Culross, Danny Alford, Corey Alford, Josh Lucero, Kyle Lucero, and Alexis Lucero; brother, Jeff VanBlarcom and wife Jennifer; numerous nephews. Jay, as he was known, proudly served his country for six years in the Army Reserves. He was a history buff and loved tinkering with watches, going to the shooting range and riding motorcycles. He was a loved son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was a kind and gentle man and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm, with Funeral Services following at 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
