James Jim"" John Alire

James "Jim" John Alire age 70 of Aztec, New Mexico passed away February 23, 2009 at his home. Jim was born December 25, 1938 in Ignacio, Colorado to Juan Alire and Isadora Martinez Alire. Jim was best known for his green thumb and ability to grow anything you wanted in his garden. There was nothing he could not repair or fix. He loved to watch boxing and all sports. His beloved dogs were always by his side. Jim is survived by his wife Evelyn Garcia of the family home and children James and wife Nadine, Isadora and special friend Yvonne Todacheene, Daniel and wife Kanaka Perea and Lisa and husband Michael Larsen. He is also survived by grandchildren Joseph, Sarah, J.P., Kasey, Paul Brian, Heather, Tim Angelina and Lillyan: sisters Sylvia Weaver, Frances Wilkey, and Brothers Rudolph and Henry Alire. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pastor Burson Corley will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Joseph Alire, Isadore Alire, Benny Gutierrez, Daniel Perea, Chris Velasquez, and Billy Weaver.
