Loving husband, father, and Papaw to two granddaughters and 5 great grandkids, Jim will be greatly missed. Born in Greenbriar, Arkansas, Jim joined the Air Force that took him to Fairborn, Ohio where he met his wife of 65 years, Thelma Jean. To which he affectionately called “Jeanie”. After their spring wedding in 1956 they moved to New Mexico welcoming their daughter, Sally.
After 35 years of Federal service at the Defense Nuclear Agency, our Papaw retired and had many hobbies to include golf, photography, cars and an avid sharp shooter – even reloaded his ammunition! Full of wisdom and wit, he could easily carry a conversion with anyone about anything which led to many friendships. Jim cared for and missed his buddies at the Zia shooting Range and Enterprise. We will miss him stealing our french fries, the dogs will miss their bacon greetings but most of all, we will miss his love and strength.
At the family’s request, a private service will be held.
