He was loved by many and there isn't enough words to describe how wonderful of a person he was.
He was an amazing son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He knew how to make you smile and was there for you when you needed it the most. He was the most simple, caring, easy going guy who won everyone over with his big heart and friendliness. He is a man who had the best sense of humor and enjoyed the small things in life such watching his cowboys or going fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time with his family. He will very much be missed, but he will live on forever within our hearts and memories.
When Jim was young he went hunting with his father in Tres Piedras, NM and as an adult he still loved to go hunting there.
When the kids were younger he would take the whole family on camping trips which included his sister, nephews and niece. As the whole family camped he would also take everyone on the boat to go fishing. One of the family trips that stands out the most was going to the Brazos to stay in the cabin and feed the deer.
On the weekends he would enjoy taking the the go-cart and the four wheelers out to the mesas to pass the time. As the boys got older he was very involved with their dirt bike riding/racing. He would always show up at his kids school or sports events which also included going to his daughters girl scouts father-daughter dances.
Racing was a big part of his life starting with his father. His father raced with the car #57,which Jim used when he raced, and as of today is being used by his nephew. He also adored nascar and was able to go to a couple of races in Phoenix and Las Vegas, NV.
He also had a passion for the NFL and his favorite team was the Kansas City Chiefs. He was very competitive when it came to his NFL teams and his nascar driver!
When his children became adults he loved to have family BBQ's because he was able to play and spend time with his grandchildren. He loved being a grandpa!
He was also very involved in his grandchildren's lives whether it was going to the kids school events, the movies, dance competitions and even Meow Wolf.
WE LOVE YOU DAD/POPS/GRANDPA/UNCLE!
