It is with profound sadness that I share the recent passing of James Michael McDonald. James who often went by Mike was only 53 at the time of his passing on September 14th, 2024.
Mike was an avid animal lover and nature enthusiast. He had worked in the floral design industry for almost 32 years. Fourteen of those years were spent running his own business, Enchanted Garden, which was located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He always cherished the moments when he brought others joy, whether it was through the floral arrangements he designed or the jokes he often cracked at social gatherings. Regardless of the interaction everyone loved Mike.
Mike also had a strong faith in his Christianity. His faith helped him enlighten himself and the world around him. He always held his devotion to God closely to his heart and he believed in sharing his heart with everyone he met.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in his honor to Watermelon Mountain Ranch, 3251 Westphalia Blvd NE Rio Rancho, NM 87144. A GoFundMe page has also been established in his name.
He is proceeded in death by his sister, Terrie Jean (McDonald) Wilkerson, and his mother, Beverly Ann McDonald. He is survived by his older brother Paul McDonald and wife Cathy Fisher-McDonald of Odessa, TX; younger brother Christopher McDonald and wife Tina McDonald of Bonham, TX; father Jim McDonald of Bonham, TX; nieces Victoria and Laney McDonald of Albuquerque, NM.
A Memorial Service will be held on September 18th, 2024 at the Pavilion on West Bluff Park, located at 2408 Alamogordo Dr NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120 from 10am to 2pm. All are invited to attend.
