Reed, James S. (Jim)
Age 88, passed away peacefully at his home in Belen, NM. August 31, 2012 after a long illness. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara J. Reed, formerly Barbara J. Hand, his sons, James S. Reed (Judy) and Timothy A. Reed (Peggy), six grandchildren, four great grandchildren (with another on the way), his sister Mary Hipple of Biggsville, IL and many nieces and nephews. Jim was born in 1923 in Orion Township, Fulton County, IL to James Reed and Hazel Mills Reed Cotter. Jim was proud of the years he played right guard for Canton High School. He worked for Sandia Labs for 33 years as a pattern maker/wood model maker retiring in 1989. He loved working with his hands and touring the country in his RV with his little Geo in tow. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to St. Jude Children''s Hospital www.stjude.org or a charity of your choice.
