Rivera, James M. 

Age 60, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019. He was born in Grants, NM on April 5, 1959, to Jose Luis Rivera and Filomena A. Alderette. James graduated from Sandia High School and went on to attend the University of New Mexico where he obtained his bachelor's degree. He then proceeded to a career with the U.S. Department of Justice - Drug Enforcement Administration as a Supervisory Administrative Specialist.

James hobbies included hiking, biking, working out at the gym and he loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Stephen Rivera; and step-father, William Benton.

James is survived by sister, Amy  (George) Wohlgemuth; brothers, Gilbert Rivera and Louis Rivera; and nephew, Rosendo Rivera.

Service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019, 2:00 pm, at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Wyoming Chapel, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque.  Interment Service pending and to be determined.
   
In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the family to help cover funeral expenses.
