James S. "Big Jim" Snyder

James S. Snyder, known to most as Big Jim, passed away October 17, 2021 in Rio Rancho, NM at the age of 77.  He was born December 20, 1943 in Allentown, PA to Paul and Mary Snyder.  He graduated L.E. Dieruff High School, Class of 1961.   He then proudly served our country for 4 years in the United States Navy, as rank of CEW-2 E-4.  Jim married his soul mate, Deborah Long, on January 23, 2015 in Mesa, AZ.  He retired from All-Phase Electrical Supply Company after 20 years of service.  His passions included motorcycle riding, traveling he United States on his motorcycle, and he enjoyed being Santa Claus for Abate Toy Run in Allentown, PA for several years.  Jim was a member of Reading Motorcycle Club, Southside Motorcycle Club and Lehigh Valley Chapter of Abate. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Snyder Sr.; brothers, Paul Snyder Jr. and Bill Snyder.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Snyder, of Rio Rancho, NM; daughter, Jane Leonard, wife of Randy Leonard of Allentown, PA; son, Ronald Snyder, husband of Julia Snyder of Emmaus, PA; son, Donald Snyder of Hellertown, PA; step-daughter, Michelle Mann Giandomenico, wife of Karl Giandomenico III of Catasauqua, PA; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Marie Mader of Bethlehem, PA; and many nieces, newphews and friends.

Jim was an incredible individual and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
