Sampson sP, Father James Father James Sampson sP, born December 14, 1930 in Greeley, Nebraska died on November 4, 2013 in Albuquerque, NM. He was ordained a Catholic Priest on July 17, 1965 and a Member of the Servant of the Paraclete International Religious Congregation. James is the beloved son of the late Dr. Herbert and Florence (Harrahill) Sampson; brother of Richard (deceased) and Carolyn Sampson, Mildred and Bill (deceased) Nielson of Fort Myers, FL, Carmen Sampson - Sister Mary Jane OP (deceased), Jean and Bob Parker of Spokane, WA, Helen (deceased) and Ed (deceased) Wheeler and Sally Brady of Lincoln, NE. Father Sampson is survived by 36 nieces and nephews, his Goddaughter, Katie Pohler of San Diego, California and special friend Melanie Mascarenas of Albuquerque, NM who ministered to Father Jim while he was in long term care and hospitalized. He will be missed by many family members and friends, especially the parishioners of Our Lady of the Annunciation in Albuquerque. A visitation will be 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM with Prayer Service at 7:00 PM followed by a Rosary at 7:30 PM Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish, 2532 Vermont NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 10:30 AM, also at Our Lady of the Annunciation. Interment will be Thursday, November 14, 2013, 11:00AM at Servants of the Paraclete Cemetery in Jemez Springs, NM.
