James "Jimmy" T. Seitzinger, Jr., 86, of Bloomfield, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at his home. Jimmy was born April 20, 1922, in Alhambra, California, the son of James Tate Seitzinger, Sr. and Bonita Sheetz Seitzinger. Jimmy came to Bloomfield with his dad and his sister, Louis, around 1932 when he was 10 years old. At the age of 15, he began working cattle for Roy Sullivan. On June 22, 1942, he married the love of his life, Louie Ione McDaniel in Aztec. He enlisted in the US Navy shortly after and served in World War II in the South Pacific. After being honorably discharged at the end of the war, he returned to Bloomfield and went to work for Southern Union Gas Company as a laborer. He worked himself up to plant superintendant at Barker Dome plant and then on to become plant manager over both Kutz and Lybrook plants. He and Lou raised two boys during this time and after 37 years of dedicated service, he retired in 1982 and stayed in the Bloomfield area. His hobbies were hunting and fishing and he was very proud of the beautiful yard he and Lou maintained. He spent lots of time teaching his boys and his grandchildren how to enjoy the outdoors. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his wife, Lou, his sister, Louise Sategna and his brother, Gordon L. Seitzinger. He is survived by his sister Helen Adair, his sister-in-law, Jessie Seitzinger, sons, Gordy Seitzinger and his wife Beverly, and Bob Seitzinger and his wife Bitzi. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ryan Seitzinger, Mike Seitzinger and his wife Monica and their children Jacob, Justin and Jesse, Suzanne Seitzinger, Hondo Seitzinger and his wife Marisa and their children Ian and Mia, and his special caretaker Holly Seitzinger and her daughter Elena. Full Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post 2182. Pallbearers will be Howard Stinson, Harold Lasster, Ron Baird, Ryan Seitzinger, Mike Seitzinger, and Hondo Seitzinger. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jacob Seitzinger, Bruno Giovanini and Roger Murray. Jimmy is in the care of :
