Jamie Marie Broughton

Jamie Marie Broughton died unexpectedly in Rio Rancho, New Mexico on November 30th, 2021 at the age of 68.

Jamie is survived by her husband Danny Laroy Broughton of Rio Rancho, NM, her son Damion Eric James Broughton of Rio Rancho, NM, her son Dametri Alan Broughton of Bernalillo, NM, by sister Betty Lou Everall of Rio Rancho, NM, by brother in law Gary Everall of Rio Rancho, NM, by niece Dierdra Everall of Rio Rancho, NM, by her grandchildren Andrew James Broughton and Dene Eric Broughton of Rio Rancho, NM. She is also survived by her loving furry friends, dogs Tito, Baby Red and Jack. Jamie is preceded in death by her mother Marie Odene Lemons and by her father James Archie Lemons.

Jamie was born in Presbyterian Hospital to Marie Odene (Cogdell) Lemons and James Archie Lemons on Thursday, April 2nd, 1953 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jamie attended Highland High School in Albuquerque, NM, and graduated in the year of 1971. She married Danny Laroy Broughton in Albuquerque, New Mexico on May 29th, 1975. They were happily married for over 46 years and had two children.

Special interests of Jamie’s included gardening of flowers and bushes, art collecting of local artists, travel and craft work.

Jamie was our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Sister, who never met a stranger. She was a very special lady to many who knew her, who have often said “she is one of a kind”. Jamie will always be in our hearts and minds forever more. We love you dear!

A Visitation will take place at Daniels Family Funeral Services – Sara Chapel in Rio Rancho, New Mexico on Thursday December 16th, 2021 beginning at 1:00PM. A Funeral Service will follow beginning at 2:00PM.
