Jane C. Garcia

Jane C. Garcia, age 87, beloved and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home, Sunday, May 11, 2014, while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Parsons, KS and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM. Jane enjoyed sewing, dancing, gardening, arts and crafts and shopping. She especially loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eulalia and Marcelino Casarez. Jane is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Ishmael Garcia of the family home; her children, Frank Vasquez and wife Ester, Frederick Vasquez and wife Kathy, and Donald Garcia and wife Inez; seven grandchildren, Chris Vasquez and wife Brenda, Monica Smith and husband John, Renee Valdez and husband Daniel, Stephanie Garcia (Matt Silva), Sharon Garcia (Donny Sedillo), Vanessa Vasquez, and Bradley Vasquez; nine great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Jane will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose hearts she touched. A Rosary will be recited Friday, May 16, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd., NW, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE. Pallbearers will be Carlos Garcia, Anthony Garcia, Daniel Valdez, Matt Silva, Donny Sedillo, and Devin Vasquez. Honorary Bearers will be Danea Garcia, Bradley Vasquez and Vanessa Vasquez.
