Jane A. Madsen January 8, 1947 to March 14, 2013 Jane was born in Kellogg, ID on January 8, 1947. Her parents were Elaine and Harold Vivian and she is survived by one brother, John H Vivian. Jane deeply loved her family which included Fred Madsen, her husband, four children; Aaron, Alissa, Adrienne, and Andrew and her six grandchildren; Alexis, Alexandra, Anderson, Addison, Avery, and Aiden. During her youth, living in the Idaho panhandle, she started snow skiing at age three, was a synchronized swimmer, member of the high school band, and excelled in academics. After her marriage to Fred, they lived in Spokane, WA, San Antonio, TX, Albuquerque, NM (2 times), Monument, CO, O�Fallon, IL, Oviedo, FL, and retired in Rio Rancho, NM after Jane was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer. Jane had a full career outside the home and was passionate about lifelong learning. Her education included two Bachelor�s Degrees, two Master�s Degrees, and a PhD. She took great pride in the fact that she was a student, instructor, teacher, and administrator most of her life. Her first education position was as a Workforce Education Coordinator at a small community college in Washington State. Shortly thereafter she earned a Master of Science in College Instruction at Eastern Washington University (EWU). Her second Master�s in Public Administration was earned at the University of New Mexico (UNM) where she worked in a state administered program developing programs to educate and train welfare recipients. While in Florida Jane earned a PhD in Instructional Technology. Jane�s work life included Real Estate, where she served as an Agent, Broker, and State Certified Instructor in several states. A few employers she worked for include: The State(s) of Washington, New Mexico, and Florida, the Internal Revenue Service, Federal Express, where she was a Station Manager, and Gateway District Quality Coordinator, Lockheed Martin Corporation, and General Dynamics Corporation. Jane survived Breast Cancer for over five years. During that time she energetically planned and participated in Alissa�s wedding to Chris and the birth of three grandchildren; Addison, Aiden, and Avery. She will be deeply missed and loved by many for eternity. Jane has joined the angels and is waiting to be reunited with her dear family and friends that she loves so much. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Southern Chapel, 2400 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
