Janet Dustin

Janet Dustin of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 7, 2024. She is proceeded in death by her father William Hentel, mother Lily Hentel and her husband Harold “Dusty” Dustin. She is survived by her daughters Shirley Wise and husband Gary, Sharyl Smith Brown and Diana Burt, Son Andrew Dustin, grandchildren Amanda Bell and husband James, Jason Smith and wife Claire, Rebecca Rivera and husband Michael, Amber Burt, Brandon Burt and her great grandchildren Avery, JB, Jaxon, Elliott, Dax, Makenzie and Lola.

Janet was a graduate of Highland High School in 1958. She was a pharmacy tech at Smith’s and an active volunteer for the Red Cross. Janet lived boldly, with a fiery personality and fierce loyalty. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

There will be a reception in her honor September 12th, 2024 at Daniel’s Family Funeral Service at 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM 87109 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. Janet will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe with her husband in a private ceremony.   

Janet's family would like to thank Fountain Hill and their dedicated team for their care, kindness, compassion and comfort to Janet over the last year and a half.
