Jason Douglas Clark, age 82, passed away in Rio Rancho, NM on Wednesday February 24, 2021. He was born in Tulsa, OK on October 4, 1938.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Franklin Clark; mother, Louise Cecelia Douglas; sister, Helen Robinson; mother-in law, Felicidade Mascarenhas and father-in law, Antonio Mascarenhas. Jason is survived by wife, Julia Clark of Hemet, CA; brother, Jim Clark & Wife (Patrica) of Bakersfield, CA; son, Anthony Clark of Hemet, CA; daughter, Malaika Gonzalez & Husband Miguel of Rio Rancho, NM; son Kevin Clark & wife Jennifer of Poulsbo, WA; Grandchildren, Michael Clark, Robert McMillin, Noah Clark, Nicolas Gonzalez; Great Grandchildren, Vyolet Clark and Madilynn Gonzalez. He attended Burbank High School in 1956. He served our nation in the United States Army from 1958-1960 as a medic. He attended UCLA and Graduated with his BA in Geography in 1964. He received his Diploma in Education in 1965 from Makerere University in Kampala Uganda. There he met and married Julia Domiana Mascarenhas in 1967. He then earned his MA in Geography from San Fernando Valley State College in 1972. In 1987 he finished his schooling from the Loma Linda University Medical Center in Radiation Therapy Technology. His work history follows as such: taught at East Africa Program of USAID in 1964; St. Leo’s College, Ft. Portal, Uganda from 1965-1968; taught at University of Dar-es-Salaam from 1974-1979; taught at University of Saskatchewan from 1980-1981; taught at University of Wyoming in 1982; was a xray technician at a Urgent Care in 1987 and a radiation therapist at Hemet Hospital (Radiology Dept.) from 1987-1993. His special hobbies include: National Geographic, US History, Genealogy, Painting, Wood Working, Entomology, Zoology, Botany, Geology. He was a merit badge counselor and an assistant scout leader for the Boy Scouts of America in Hemet, CA 1985-1997. He was an active Church Membership of Holy Spirit & Our Lady of the Valley (Hemet, CA) and he was one of the founding members of the Knight of Columbus chapter in Hemet, CA. He made charitable donations to the Parkinson Foundation, World Wildlife Foundation, and Cal State Northridge. He is fondly remembered for his ability to engage people in a story and his jokes.
