Jason J. Kamerzell went home to heaven on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the age of 62.  

Jason was born in Artesia, NM and grew up in small towns across New Mexico. He graduated in 1980 from Estancia High School where he was a stand-out athlete playing basketball and running track. Jason attended junior college in Torrington, WY and later joined the US Coast Guard. While in the Coast Guard he was stationed in Kodiak, AK and Corpus Christie, TX. After leaving the Coast Guard Jason moved to Albuquerque, NM where he met and married his wife Rebecca. Jason worked for 29 years as a mechanic at American Toyota dealership. Over the years he was recognized as a top mechanic for Toyota and most recently was named the number one mechanic among all the 160 Toyota dealerships across the country. Jason loved sports, especially football and basketball. His favorite teams were the LA Lakers and Tennessee Titans. Over the years he and his Dad had a friendly basketball rivalry with Jason cheering on the Lakers and Dad cheering the Boston Celtics. He also loved gardening and grew beautiful roses at his Rio Rancho home. Jason was preceded in death by his father, Gene Kamerzell. Jason leaves behind his wife Rebecca Kamerzell, of 28 years; his beloved mother, Mona Kamerzell, his sisters, Stacy and her husband Jason, Sue and her partner Robert; nephews, Jacob and his daughter Arya, Justin, his wife Shandra and their children Mia and Logan; his niece, Desiree and her partner Nelson; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.  

Memorial services will be held on February 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Albuquerque Meadows Clubhouse located at 7112 Pan American Freeway NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
