Myers, Jay T.
Jay T. Myers left this world peacefully to be with his creator, his mother Grace and his father Dan
on August 29, 2016. He is survived by his best friend and wife Jamie; his children, Jason, Jessica and Juliana; his son in law, Jake; brothers, Ed and Danny; his beloved nieces and nephews, Kaylee, Noah, Jarrod, Kyle, Ryan and Grace; his mother in law Corine and in laws, Julie, Dave, Travis, Shelley and Kathy. He attended El Dorado High School. Many remember him for being a staple at the "freak" wall, hanging out with friends that remained in his life until his passing. Jay was larger than life. His unique humor and brutal (but humorous) honesty attracted people from all walks of life. Most people who knew him thought he was the coolest guy they had ever known. He counseled many close friends and acquaintances in times of need, even when he was hurting himself he used that pain to guide others through their own recovery or through any other suffering they may have been going through. Jay accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. You could find him playing in the music ministry for the youth at St.Thomas Aquinas Parish or more recently at Wellspring Church. Jay was an avid Indy Car fan and taught his youngest daughter Juliana how to race cars. The best crew chief there ever was. He most recently walked his oldest daughter Jessica down the aisle with the biggest smile on his face and a full heart. A memory that will live on forever. Jay was a passionate fly fisherman. A common love he shared with Jake and Jason. Tragically Jason and Jay were never able to slay trout together, they ran out of time. In 2010 Jay followed his life long dream to be an entrepreneur and opened Flowers & Things in Rio Rancho, NM. He was a gracious and generous boss and will be missed deeply by the entire staff. Jay and Jamie shared a love for movies, concerts, Keith Urban, the Denver Broncos, binge watching their favorite shows, and above all else, their cats, Indy and Dani. The affection they had for each other included the names "fool" and "clown." A unique love that will never be matched. Jays unexpected passing has left a gaping hole in all of our hearts. If he was here, he would tell us all, "get it together man, we are all professionals here." So that is what we will do. Get it together and look forward to the day that we meet again. We love you more. Peace out, Fool. Please join us in a celebration of Jays life this Saturday, September 3rd at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish 1502 Sara Rd.
