Jean DeWalt

Jean DeWalt, age 83, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, July 20, 2020. 
She was preceded in death by her mom Betty Wood; sister, Theresa Hofheins; brother, Tom Higgins; and partner Sam Miera.
Jean is survived by her sister Liz and husband Lake McDonald; her five children and their spouses: David and Yvonne DeWalt, Deborah and Rick Olinger, Catherine Simpson, Michael and Lisa DeWalt, and Stephen and Virginia DeWalt; five grandchildren: Samantha and husband Brian, Michelle, Patricia, Liz and Becca; 3 great-grandchildren, Allie, Ella and Owen; and many nieces and nephews.
Jean was the pillar of our family and was an incredibly strong woman.  She was devoted to her faith and Our Lady and loved her books.
Rosary will be at 9:30 AM and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Sangre de Christo Catholic Church, 8901 Candelaria Rd, Albuquerque, 87112 on Saturday, July 25, 2020.  A Celebration of her life will be at a later date.   In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Jean's name.
