Jean B. Eddy

April 17, 1927 — February 9, 2013

Eddy, Jean B. Jean B. Eddy has left us to be with the love of her life on Valentines Day. Jean was born April 17, 1927 in Flagstaff, AZ. She moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1929 with her parents Simeon & Ola Burke, her two brothers, Harris (Bud) and E. Jay, her sister, Mildred Burke Bankston, a maiden aunt, two dogs and a squirrel. Jean was married and widowed by Fred Lindeman. They had one daughter, Jayne Lindeman Andersen, whom currently resides in Rathdrum, ID with her menagerie of animals. Jean married Les Eddy in November of 1950. They moved to the North Valley shortly thereafter to raise kids, cats and dogs, and did a great job of it. Les preceded her in death in 2008. Their children include: Kevin Eddy and his wife Diana; Allison Sarracino and her husband Raymond; Stuart Eddy and his beloved Evelyn Higgins; Clayton Eddy; and Clark Eddy and his wife Helen. Jean also adopted Les daughter, Kathy Bunt, who grieves with her husband Ron. Grandchildren include: Philip, Paul and Alicia Eddy; Jacquelyn and Marcus Sarracino; Larson and Brandon Eddy; Justine Eichorst; and Jennifer Eddy. Great-grandchildren include: Jalyn, Jace and Jade Eddy; and Darren Mock. She leaves behind surrogate grandchildren, Mike and Nikki Harger, and their daughters, Chloe and Addisyn. Jean is also survived by her brother Jay Burke and his wife Louise, who live with their family in Friendswood, TX. Jean was a member of the Rainbow Girls in her younger days. She was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts, and a troop leader for Girl Scouts, eventually going on to help at a district level. She loved all sorts of needlecrafts, was an avid seamstress, loved cross stitch and left loved ones with oh so many lovely memories. Jean also served as President and was a member of the New Mexico Quilters Association until her stroke in 1987. The Stoke Club survivors group was a godsend in helping her learn the way through living with the effects of a stroke. Jean was a wonderful caring, giving person, and she will be missed by any and all who knew her. Our thanks to Alliance Home & Hospice Care for their care and support in her final days. Services will be conducted Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth Street NW. Jean's care has been entrusted to: Daniels Family Funeral Services Alameda Mortuary 9420 Fourth St. NW Albuquerque, NM 87114 (505) 898-3160
