Jeanette Marion Cook, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, of natural causes. She was born in Waukegan, Illinois on August 8, 1920. Jeanette attended the Chicago Institute of Art prior to nursing school. After graduating, Jeanette joined the Army and served overseas for 4 years. She continued nursing and moved to New Mexico in 1950. Jeanette was known for always looking her best and living life to the fullest. She was warm-hearted, extremely generous, a loyal friend to many, and a loving mother.She is survived by her children: Susan Spensley (John Morschauser), Marcia Spensley (Steve Hansen), Steve (Mary) Spensley, David (Linda) Spensley, Barbara (Thom) Cazel. Her grandchildren: Aaron, Jared, and Ryan (Rachel) Scutt, Erica and Steven Spensley, Emily Cazel, and Lauren Spensley. Her great-grandchildren: Minah & Chase Scutt, Steven and Collin Scutt, Blake & Blaze Cazel. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. The Memorial service will be held on August 8 at 2pm at the Village of Alameda Assisted Living, 8810 Horizon Blvd.
