Ward, Jeanette (Jeanie) L. Jeanette (Jeanie) L. Ward passed away at home on March 13, 2013 at the age of 73 years old. Jeanie was born October 27, 1939 in Walters, Oklahoma to Charles W. and Helen Louise Cox. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Helen Cox; brothers, Charles Ray Cox, Donald Cox, and Frank Cox. Jeanie is survived by her husband, Charles Ward; son, Greg Smith and wife Petra; daughter, Becky Archuleta and husband Antonio; stepchildren, Yolanda and Bill Jackson, Denise and Doyl Journigan, Claudia and Tim Null, Charles H. Ward; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. Jeanie graduated high school from Lawton High School and from college at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was a member of Easter Star's when she was younger. She worked at the Lawton Constitution, served as a manager at the NCO club, was a graphic designer at Northrup, was a substitute teacher, and was dedicated wife and mother. Some of her passions included art, music, painting, ceramics, flowers, crafts and was an avid reader. She loved Paris, France and always dreamed of being able to visit the Eiffel Tower again. She loved to travel to scenic places, loved to walk or sit on the beach, and especially loved her view of the Sandia Mountains in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of her life that will be held at 6:00 pm, Friday, March 22, 2013 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM, 87124. Internment will follow at a later date in Walters, Oklahoma where she will be buried with her parents and brothers. Sympathy cards may be sent to the family to the following address; 10535 Box Canyon Pl. NW, Albuquerque, NM, 87107. In lieu of flowers, a donation in her name may be made to either the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
