Jeanne Eva"" Gholson

October 29, 1933 — June 20, 2011

Jeanne "Eva" Gholson, 77, of Bloomfield, died on Monday, June 20, 2011, in Bloomfield. She was born Oct. 29, 1933, in Rehoboth, to IK Westbrook and Elizabeth Dykus. Eva attended high school in Archer City, Texas. At various times she was employed as a switcher for Gas Company of New Mexico, manager of Lee Hi Mobile Home Park and as a school bus driver. Eva had many interests, including planting beautiful flowers in her garden; feeding deer and birds and studying them in their habitats; and going up to Silverton to look at the beauty. She also enjoyed playing Bridge; horse racing and going to the casino; riding in her golf cart with her dog running alongside; spending time at her place in Del Rio, Texas; and listening to country music. Eva adored her cat, Uno, and her dog, Holly. Eva and Holly were inseparable. Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Gholson; her parents; and her sister, Paula Westbrook. She is survived by her sister, Avon Magee; nephews, Brad Magee, Bruce Williams, Curtis Wolfe and Jay Wolfe; nieces, Lori Magee, Willa Emerson and Allison Wolfe. Kathy Potter will officiate.
