Jennie Gallegos

Gallegos, Jennie Age 93, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born in Albuquerque, NM on October 27, 1920, to Feliciano Lopez and Juanita Garcia in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was a lifelong resident of the Barelas Community. Jennie was preceded in death by her husband Juan died 1994, sons Manuelito died 1943, Peter died 1982, John (Bino)died 2001 and a grandson Daniel Gallegos. Jennie is survived by her daughters, Margaret Nieto and husband Pete, Toni Bazan, Grace Lopez, Dolly Gallegos, Helen Gallegos, Loretta Montoya and husband Mike and sons Rick Gallegos and wife Margie, Raymond Gallegos and wife Julia and Frank (Chano)Gallegos and wife Lupe. Jennie had 24 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. Rosary to be recited on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at 7:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church , 301 Stover Ave SW, Albuquerque. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 9, 2014, at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church , 301 Stover Ave SW, Albuquerque . Burial will take place on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Santa Fe National Cemetery 501 N Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, NM 87501 . Pallbearers will be Pete Nieto Jr., Abel Bazan, Greg Gallegos, Johnny Ray Montoya, John Anthony Salazar and Matthew Gallegos. Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Gallegos, Michael Ray Gallegos, Joe Ray Martinez, Lawrence Burns, Gabriel Borrego and Louise Lopez. Jennie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
