Age 90, Jennie passed away Monday, August 3, 2020. She was born in Alamogordo, NM on January 15, 1930, to Henry and Carolina Walters. Jennie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, an active member of the Relief Society, and the Sandoval Historical Society. Jennie was a hard worker. She loved to express her love by cooking or baking goodies and meals for others. She loved food. She loved to gather with family and found joy when all were together. She had an adventurous spirit and was curious as to what was around the next bend along the road. She had a creative heart and expressed it through her sewing, quilting, gardening, and making her surroundings beautiful.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleofas Jose Muro, daughter, Cleo Jean Muro, son, David Eric Muro, father, Henry O Walters, mother, Carolina B Walters, and five brothers, Ishmael "Mel" Walters, Isaias "Issac" Walters, Ernest Walters, David Walters, and Richard Walters.

Jennie is survived by daughter, Linda Marie and husband David Oscar Mann of Rio Rancho, NM, daughter, Monica Lin and husband Karl Von Sigmon of Bernalillo, NM, daughter-in-law, Mary Kathleen Elizabeth Muro of Gilbert, AZ. Jennie is also survived by nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren with one more on the way.

Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2020, 10:30 am, at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe, Due to COVID flowers are prohibited at the cemetery. Masks are mandatory for service.

An online memorial service will be will be available Friday, August 21, 2020, 11:00 am and can be viewed at jennie-muro.com.
