Jennifer A. Yardman

April 28, 1978 — March 22, 2015

Yardman, Jennifer A.

Jennifer Yardman, 36, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Sunday, March 22nd, with her loving family by her side. Jennifer was born on April 28, 1978 to John and Susan Bryl, in Portland Oregon. Growing up with her younger sister, Emily, she enjoyed reading all of the time. They had many summers spent in their parents’ running store reading all the books they possibly could. She excelled at everything she tried, including violin, tap dance, swimming, ice skating and running. She was an incredible student and graduated from West Mesa High School in 1997 as a National Merit Scholar. While in high school, Jennifer took her first job and ended up meeting Richard Yardman, who would turn out to be her high school sweetheart and love of her life. She attended University of New Mexico and graduated at the top of her class with honors in Electrical Engineering. After graduation, Jennifer helped run a business with her father for many years and when away from work she enjoyed racing her green Neon at the Albuquerque Speedway. Jennifer and Richard married in 2001, and the two spent time working on projects around their home together before welcoming two precious girls, Katelyn in 2007 and Lillian in 2009. Her greatest joy was being a wife to Richard and mommy to Katelyn and Lily - teaching the girls preschool basics at home before starting kindergarten, watching them practice gymnastics, taking them fishing, and putting on elaborate holiday celebrations. Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday, when she would wake up in the early, early morning to make the biggest turkey she could find and spend all day making as many dishes as she possibly had time for.

With Lily in kindergarten and Katelyn in second grade, Jennifer spent each morning this year taking the girls to school, waiting with Lily on the kinder playground before school, while waving to Katelyn on the playground below each time she would peek up from playing. Jennifer had a love for toe socks, did not like flip flops because of the piece between her toes, and her favorite color was green. She was a great listener, fun to talk with, and a loving and selfless person - one who put others needs ahead of her own, even in her times of need. Jennifer was a constantly positive, optimistic and happy person no matter what came her way. Jennifer is loved and survived by husband, Richard Yardman; daughters, Katelyn and Lillian Yardman; father, John Bryl; sister, Emily Bryl; in-laws Tony and Connie Yardman; brothers-in-law, Rudy, Robert and Anthony; her nieces, nephews and many treasured family members and friends. She was preceded in death by mother Susan Bryl and adoptive mother Jane Ketchin.

Jennifer will be celebrated at a memorial service and reception, at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - 11750 San Victorio Ave. NE, 87111.  A memorial fund has been established at www.gofundme.com/jenniferyardman <http://www.gofundme.com/jenniferyardman>.  In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation at www.aadms.org <http://www.aamds.org>.  Thank you to everyone who sent their prayers and positive thoughts throughout this difficult time.  Condolences may be sent to the family at Daniels Family Funeral Services 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE.
