Jenny Lou Reid Kottenbroook

Jenny Lou Reid Kottenbrook, aged 82, passed away on February 9, 2025. She was a beloved mother, wife, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Jenny was born on October 28, 1942, in Winnfield, Louisiana, where she spent her formative years. She went on to attend Louisiana College and later became a pastor’s wife and church administrator with the United Methodist Church. Throughout her life and career, she was known for her hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others.

Jenny was a devoted wife to Charles Fredrick Kottenbrook for 59 years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband in November 2023.

Jenny was also a devoted mother to Jennifer Kottenbrook Landry and John Kottenbrook (Lori). She was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced. 

Jenny was the grandmother to Jennifer’s children, Andrew, Ryan, David, and Lauren Landry, and to John’s children, Mary Janko and Benjamin Kottenbrook.

Jenny was the proud great-grandmother to Julian, Lilou, Luca, Charlotte, Addison, Ainsley, Anastasia, Natalya, Clara, Nadia, and Klayton.

A “Celebration of Life” ceremony will be held for family and friends at High Desert United Methodist Church on March 8, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Jenny requested that donations be made to “Feed New Mexico Kids” charitable organization.
