Jeremy Ryan Taylor, age 41, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020 from injuries sustained in a tragic accident. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on June 2, 1978, to Ken and Kathy Taylor. He was known to most people as “Taylor”. He was a kind and gentle soul with a huge heart.
Taylor’s primary school years were spent at Evangel Temple Academy as well as Trinity Church where he joined the Royal Rangers and was also a member of their Youth Program. He was also involved in Cub Scouts. His high school years were spent attending Paradise Christian School where he played on the basketball team. He graduated in 1996. Taylor went on to college at Eastern New Mexico University where he worked as a Hall Director at Curry Hall. He graduated with a BA in Business and a BA in Human Resources. After college Taylor was hired at Adams State College as an Assistant Housing Director. He took on many other responsibilities such as facilities maintenance, and the Post Office. Taylor created and launched the E-Sports Student Program and designed their logo and gear. He was very much admired by his supervisor and close friend Bruce Del Tando, as well as the students and other colleagues.
Taylor loved camping, hiking, and kayaking. He spent a lot of time reading books, researching information on line, watching zombie flicks and Kung Fu movies. His true passion was touring on his motorcycle, especially with his Dad.
Taylor is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Pat and Dick Read, Grandfather Ben Taylor, and his Uncle Timmie Hill. He is survived by his parents Ken and Kathy Taylor; Grandmothers Bea Beck and Luella Taylor; Aunts and Uncles Glenna and Howard Chapman, Mary Anne and Joe Benefield, Dennis Read, Lyndon Read, Bennie Taylor and Linda Taylor. He will be missed by his giant schnoodle “Dog Face”. Taylor is also leaving behind his extremely close friends, Patrick Kite of Albuquerque, Eric Weaver of Albuquerque, and John Mehl of Lubbock, Texas. These three lives will be forever changed by his passing.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12 at Daniels Family Funerals Wyoming Chapel at 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 12 at 10:00 a.m., led by Andy Donalson, also at Daniels Family Funerals Wyoming Chapel at 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
