Age 73, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015. He was born in Odessa, TX on September 15, 1941, to Jim Hollis and Ruby Inez (Thompson) Stevens. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Inez Stevens. Jerry is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Shriver of Corpus Christi, TX; granddaughter, Cassie; great-grandson, Christian; brothers, Jack Stevens and wife Bernie of Maxwell, NM, Jimmy Stevens of Rio Rancho, NM, sisters, Joyce Crites of Rio Rancho, NM, Shirley David and companion Lou Graves of Raton, NM; numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry graduated high school from Alice, TX and moved to Las Vegas, NM in 1970 then moved to Rio Rancho, NM in 1994. As a young man he worked for Dresser Atlas as a Well Shooter. He was a member of the Mesa Baptist Church and the Moose Lodge. A Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm, with the Funeral Service following at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 7, 2014 at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Interment will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the Fairmont Cemetery, Raton, NM.
