Jerry Theiler

Jerry Theiler, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on February 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, on January 28, 1942, Jerry’s journey took him to Belen, New Mexico, where he discovered his passion for farming at a young age. His love for the land continued to grow when he moved to Lemitar, New Mexico, where he cultivated not only crops but lasting friendships.

Jerry was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 55 years, Chris Theiler, who passed away in 2022. Together, they shared a love of farming, raising alfalfa and cattle on their farm in Tome, NM, while Chris pursued her passion for showing horses. Later, they expanded their dream by purchasing a farm in Lemitar, where they continued to build a life they both loved.

In addition to his farming, Jerry was a successful businessman, owning and operating a printing equipment and supply company for over four decades, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and customers alike. His commitment to his work and community was unwavering.

Jerry was also preceded in death by his son, Lane Theiler, and his brother, Jim Theiler. He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication, survived by his daughters Kim Lowe and Ritamarie Theiler, as well as his grandchildren Michael Theiler (and wife Gladys), Matthew Theiler, and Morgan Theiler. He is also survived by his sisters Marilyn (Frank) Feldman, Nancy (Jim) Summit, and brothers Mike and Skip Theiler.

Jerry’s warm heart, hardworking spirit, and deep love for his family and friends will be missed by all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held at Daniel’s funeral home, Wyoming Chapel (7601 Wyoming blvd NE) followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 11:00AM.
