JOHNSON - Jess W. Johnson, 48, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM. Jess was born December 2, 1962 to James H. and Jean (Terry) Johnson in Raton, NM. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Darlene (Langstaff) Johnson of Lemitar, NM; his adored daughters, Jazmine Johnson of Lemitar; Rosa Otero of Albuquerque; and Denise Otero of Las Cruces, NM; his devoted mother, Jean Johnson of Lemitar; his sister, Jody Johnson also of Lemitar; his brother, Don Johnson of Lopez, WA; his niece, Katie Johnson of Lemitar; his mother-in-law, Myrtle Langstaff of Lemitar; and numerous other family members. Jess was a resident of Lemitar for 31 years. He was a hard working man and a jack of all trades; he loved working on Metal lathes and Drilling rigs. He enjoyed hunting on occasion and loved to watch the sun set. He always had a special love for cats. Through his blue eyes you could see the love and affection he had for his entire family. He especially loved to watch his daughter, Jazmine, his pride and joy, play soccer. Jess is preceded in death by his father, James H. Johnson, November 2008; and his brother, Terry Johnson, September 2007. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 1:00 pm at The Daniels Family Funeral Services Socorro Chapel with Pastor Bob Farmer officiating. The family invites you for a gathering and a time to share and celebrate Jess' life following the services at the family home in Lemitar.
